For those of you who have been waiting to see the last of my Question Time postcards, here is the last batch running up to the end of the current series.
I have thoroughly enjoyed doodling along to the programs when I watch them on a Friday Morning, it not only wakes my brain up, it also acts as a great warm up exercise
While the British Parliament is on its summer recess, Question Time and similar programmes take a break, but when they come back in September, I will be starting the next set of doodles.
On a different note I want to say a big THANK YOU to Kodak. I bought my printer along with my PC in 2012. It has worked brilliantly for the last three years. I recently had a power cut at my home. It was only short lived and the power came back on after only a couple of minutes. Everything seemed ok. I went to bed. When I came down the following morning there was a paper jam message flashing on my printer. When I opened it I discovered three sheets of a deleted print run (must still have been in the memory) which had decided to print in the middle of the night...with the front door closed. I cleared the jam and set up a print run I needed to do......only it didn't print properly...the colours were wrong and there were gaps in the printing. Long story short...it needed a new printhead and after following the online troubleshooting it automatically redirected me to customer services.
I was delightfully surprised when I got the email back....they were going to send me a new printhead free of charge, even though I was out of warranty That was last Friday. The new printhead arrived before 9am yesterday (it had to be dropped off at the barbers underneath us lol).......so now all I have to do is swap them over and I am good to go. It is a while since I have come across decent service like this in retail and decided it warranted a mention here. Thanks again Kodak for your great Customer Service
I must get busy this week...with the start of the summer holidays and a house full of children, it takes us a while to settle into a workable summer routine. As they get older, I get more time...but I also get them wanting to join in....so I can slip work under the radar and call it 'a summer project' lol. It actually works really well. My youngest went out and spent his pocket money on wooden boxes to decorate this week, so we will be starting on those this afternoon and I can slide in a commission I am working on as an example ... and, yes, I have been called sneaky
I also have a small pile of postcards (around 45) still waiting to be scanned...including some, more colourful doodles.
As usual if you have a question or have something to say, drop us a note or leave a comment

They Say The Pen Is Mightier Than The Sword.....
I am a firm believer in the above saying and in combination with another of my favourites "Only a deep and abiding belief in Karma.....stops me from being on a rooftop with an AK47!" led to the writing of a poem to get a little frustration out of my system.
This is the story of the events which led to me setting pen to paper, so are you sitting comfortably? Then we shall begin....
A little over 12 months ago the shop underneath my flat was let to a gentleman whose barber shop had been damaged in a fire. Things were not so bad to begin with. It was warm weather, the music they had on was not too loud and if I asked them to turn it down, they
Art Festival Fun
At the weekend we were at one of our local Art Festivals in Carnforth, which was only started a couple of years ago. It is organised by the owner of the local craft shop, Rowan Tree Crafts, and local artists and musicians are invited along to show off their skills.
My daughter and I decided to highlight our craft skills for the occasion and took along decorated boxes of all sizes, collection boxes, decorated plaques, notelet sets and handmade sketchbooks. We also had a Festival Necklace Lucky Dip for the kids. Our stall generated quite a lot of interest and we spent a pleasant day discussing art and making sales. Around lunchtime my Mum turn
Back to normal?
Well, I certainly did not expect to be out of the loop for so long! I have suffered from spinal problems for over 15 years now and this latest little hiccup was worse than I expected and took longer to recover from than any of us foresaw. My family and friends have been brilliant and I really don't know what I would have done without their support. Thank you guys and gals :D
Health Problems
My health has suffered a severe setback recently and I ended up in hospital. I was assaulted, injuring my dodgy spine (another herniation into the vertebrae by the feel of it) and my computer was damaged in the process, so I am looking at a screen with only two colours working...not good for the eyes :(
I will endeavour to check my messages whenever physically possible and will be back up and running as soon as my health and fitness allows. Apologies to all who have been enjoying the latest doodles...I am still creating them..just can't use my pc properly at the moment to upload them :(
